TAILORED INITIATIVES

BRONX COMMUNITY MAPPING

Explore The Bronx through mapping, data, and storytelling. In this hands-on workshop, participants learn how to map neighborhood assets, resources, and challenges using real data and community knowledge. You’ll work with modern mapping tools and GIS, combine numbers with lived experiences, and dig into local history, culture, and demographics.

Through group activities and mini projects, you’ll build skills in research, data analysis, and visual storytelling—tools you can use to support community planning, advocacy, and civic action.

ANTI-BULLYING WORKSHOP

This workshop is designed to empower Bronx youth to recognize, prevent, and address bullying in school, neighborhoods, and online communities. Through interactive activities, real-life scenarios, and guided discussions, participants develop practical strategies for standing up to bullying, fostering empathy, and building strong, positive relationships. Emphasizing respect, resilience, and community, this class equips young people with the tools to create safer, more inclusive environments for themselves and their peers.

LOVE THEORY WORKSHOP

The Love Theory Art Class invites our youth to explore the concept of love through creative expression. Participants will engage in hands-on art projects, reflective exercises, and collaborative activities that examine relationships, self-love, empathy, and community connections. By blending artistic techniques with important discussions, this class encourages self-discovery, emotional awareness, and the celebration of diverse experiences. The Love Theory Art Class, participants gain the tools to express themselves, connect with others, and carry the lessons of love, self love, empathy, and creativity beyond the classroom into their everyday lives.

WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT

This workshop is designed to introduce young people to the skills, knowledge, and strategies necessary for career development and workforce readiness. Participants will explore career pathways, professional skill-building, goal setting, and effective workplace practices, with an emphasis on practical application and real-world experiences.

Through hands-on projects, and guided exercises, youth will develop competencies in communication, problem-solving, teamwork, and career planning. The workshop empowers participants to navigate workforce opportunities, make career decisions, and build the skills needed for personal and professional growth.
